AI Content Policy

Why This Policy Exists

Lovai is built around AI—sharing prompts, workflows, and AI-generated outputs is what we do. This policy ensures transparency about AI involvement while protecting our community from misuse.

As AI capabilities grow and regulations evolve (including the EU AI Act effective August 2026), this policy will help you stay compliant and build trust with your audience.

1. Definitions

AI-Generated Content

Content where AI played a significant role in creation:

• Fully AI-generated: Content created entirely by AI with minimal human input (e.g., AI-generated images from a single prompt)
• AI-assisted: Content where AI provided substantial contribution but humans directed and edited (e.g., AI-written draft that was revised)
• AI-enhanced: Human-created content modified by AI (e.g., AI upscaling, style transfer)

Synthetic Media

Media that has been artificially created or manipulated:

• Deepfakes (AI-generated videos/images of real people)
• Voice clones and synthetic speech
• AI-generated realistic images of non-existent people
• Manipulated media that alters the meaning or context

AI Systems Referenced

This policy applies to content generated by any AI system, including but not limited to: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Midjourney, DALL-E, Stable Diffusion, Runway, ElevenLabs, and any future AI tools.

2. Disclosure Requirements

When Disclosure Is Required

How to Disclose

Use one of these methods:

1. Built-in labels: Use Lovai's AI content label feature when uploading images or media
2. Text disclosure: Include "[AI-generated]" or "[Created with AI]" in your post
3. Caption/alt text: Note AI generation in image captions or alt text

Exceptions

Disclosure is NOT required when:

• AI use is obvious from context (e.g., showing AI output as part of a repository content demonstration)
• AI performed only minor functions (spell-check, grammar correction, translation assistance)
• You're discussing AI capabilities and the examples are clearly illustrative

3. Permitted Uses of AI

Encouraged

• Sharing AI prompts, workflows, and techniques
• Demonstrating AI capabilities with example outputs
• Creating educational content about AI
• Using AI to enhance your creative process
• AI-assisted code generation and debugging
• Using AI for translation or accessibility improvements

Permitted with Disclosure

• AI-generated images as post thumbnails or illustrations
• AI-generated diagrams or visualizations
• AI-written content that forms the main body of a post
• AI-generated audio or video demonstrations

Permitted with Restrictions

• Parody/satire using AI: Allowed if clearly labeled and doesn't target private individuals
• AI avatars: Allowed for your own profile, not to impersonate others
• Fictional characters: AI-generated characters are fine; real people require consent

4. Prohibited Uses of AI

Strictly Prohibited

• Deception: Presenting AI content as human-created to mislead
• Fake testimonials: AI-generated fake reviews or endorsements
• Impersonation: AI-generated content mimicking specific real people without consent
• Non-consensual intimate imagery: AI-generated sexual or intimate content of real people
• Misinformation: Using AI to create or spread false information
• Fake evidence: AI-generated "proof" of repository content results you didn't actually achieve
• Harmful content generation: Prompts designed to generate illegal, dangerous, or abusive content

Premium Content Fraud

The following are specifically prohibited in premium content:

• Commercially distributing AI-generated content as "handcrafted" or "original" without disclosure
• Using AI to mass-produce low-quality content for commercial distribution
• Misrepresenting AI-generated examples as your actual results
• Claiming AI capabilities your repository content doesn't actually demonstrate

5. AI Training and Your Data

How Lovai Uses Your Content

Your public posts may be used to improve Lovai's services, including:

• Search and recommendation algorithms
• Content moderation systems
• Platform feature development

What We Don't Do

• We do NOT provide your content to third parties for AI training
• We do NOT use premium/private content for any training purposes
• We do NOT share your data with AI companies without explicit consent

Your Controls

You can opt out of having your public content used for Lovai's internal improvements in your account settings. Premium and private content is always excluded.

6. Regulatory Compliance

EU AI Act (Effective August 2, 2026)

The EU AI Act requires clear labeling of AI-generated content. If you're in the EU or your audience includes EU users:

• Label AI-generated images, audio, and video
• Disclose when text is AI-generated and presented as human-written
• Mark deepfakes and synthetic media prominently

Penalties: Non-compliance can result in fines up to €15 million or 3% of global revenue.

Other Jurisdictions

Various regions are implementing AI disclosure requirements. We recommend:

• Always disclosing AI-generated visual content
• Being transparent about AI involvement in your workflow
• Staying informed about regulations in your region

7. Enforcement

Violations

Violations of this policy are handled according to our Community Guidelines:

• Missing disclosure: Warning + request to add disclosure
• Deceptive AI use: Content removal + warning
• Repeated violations: Account suspension
• Serious violations (deepfakes, fraud): Immediate ban + potential legal action

If you suspect AI content policy violations, report via the content report button or email support@lovai.app.

8. Policy Updates

AI technology and regulations are evolving rapidly. We'll update this policy as needed and announce significant changes at least 30 days in advance.
