For Subscribers
What do I get when I subscribe?
While your subscription is active, your AI client can read the latest approved snapshot of the subscribed GitHub repo through MCP (Model Context Protocol), read-only. Lovai does not deliver a ZIP, a GitHub invitation, or git clone access — all access goes through the Lovai MCP server.
How do I connect my AI client?
After checkout, get your license key from MCP access, then follow the MCP Setup Guide. Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and other MCP-capable clients are supported. The key is shown in full only once at issue time, so store it safely.
Do I need a GitHub account?
No. Subscribers are not granted any GitHub permissions — repo access happens entirely through the Lovai MCP server. Login to Lovai is OAuth-only via Google or X (Twitter).
How do I cancel?
Open the subscription detail from your subscriptions and cancel there. Access remains until the end of the current billing period, then stops automatically.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are not provided by default. Exceptions such as duplicate charges or a Lovai-side failure that made MCP access unusable are handled individually. See our Terms of Service and contact us if you believe your case qualifies.
What payment methods are accepted?
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Credit cards are accepted (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and others depending on your region). The billing currency (JPY or USD) is selected automatically based on your region.
For Providers
What can I list?
You list a GitHub repository as a monthly subscription. One repo is one paid access unit. Repos whose contents are valuable when read by an AI — implementation notes, sample code, workflows — are a good fit.
Is the GitHub App required?
Yes. Listing requires installing the Lovai GitHub App with read access. Lovai uses it to ingest your repo into an approved snapshot — the source repository stays in your GitHub account or organization.
How is pricing set?
You choose one of five fixed monthly price tiers; custom prices are not supported. See the pricing page and the Provider Guide for tier details.
What is the platform fee?
Lovai charges a 15% platform fee on subscription revenue; the provider share is 85% (before payment processor and tax adjustments). Provider earnings are paid out monthly via Stripe Connect, and you can track them on the payouts page.
How do I set up Stripe Connect?
Go to Settings → Payments / Stripe Connect and start the Stripe Connect Express onboarding, which includes identity verification. For a detailed walkthrough, see our Stripe Connect Setup Guide.
What is snapshot approval?
Lovai stores and delivers your repo as an approved snapshot. A validator inspects the snapshot for dangerous content such as secrets, private keys, and .env files; blocked snapshots are never delivered. Subscribers can only read the latest approved snapshot.
